Emily is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, investigating how children and adults acquire the fine motor skill of keyboard typing. Emily is breaking it down into sub-skills, such as how many keystrokes can be planned in advance, whether subsequent keys can be pressed almost simultaneously, and how good someone can notice errors just through touch. Before this, Emily completed by BSc, MRes and PhD in Psychology at the University of Manchester and I’ve worked at the University of Leeds since 2019.

Fun fact about Emily

Emily can recite pi to 37 decimal places (used to be 50!)
