Alongside his departmental leadership and lecturing roles, Rafe is also an active filmmaker and researcher. He is the principal investigator for the ‘New Uses of Screens in Post-Lockdown Britain’ study which examines the impact of the pandemic upon screen-time and screen dependencies for both work and leisure amongst the British population. He was also Co-Investigator for the ‘British Families in Lockdown’ study which examined the experiences of UK parents and their families throughout the coronavirus lockdowns and beyond.

Fun fact about Rafe

Rafe was researching the higher educational uses of Zoom video conferencing software, years before the coronavirus pandemic changed behaviours.
