Passionate about improving the life chances for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and the role that data can play in helping improve our understanding of the issues and how we can use evidence informed interventions to address the issues identified. Lee leads the Department for Education Priority Area programme for Yorkshire and the Humber which includes: Bradford, Doncaster and the North Yorkshire Coast. The Priority Area programme aims to improve social mobility in these areas by working with local people to address local issues. Before this, he held in various roles in central government, the NHS, the Organising Committee for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has also worked in various schools in England and overseas.
He has lived in Japan and South America (the fun part was actually living there)
