Kara is a psychologist working in both research and teaching in the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds. Her interests lie in behaviour change, and the development and evaluation of complex interventions, with further interests in implementation science, systems/complexity science, and patient and public involvement in research. Since 2014, She has worked on several research projects with health professionals, early-years workers, charities and commercial companies to develop and evaluate preventive interventions for families to improve the oral health of young children.

Kara loves engaging in fun and quirky activities, participating in everything from escape rooms, a Spartan Race, a city-wide game of Cluedo, a flash mob, and Zombie tag!
